Priyanka (Priya) Ganguly

Dr. Priyanka (Priya) Ganguly is an assistant professor in Technical Communication & Rhetoric who earned her PhD in Rhetoric and Writing from Virginia Tech. Her research interests lie at the intersection of rhetorics of health and medicine (RHM), institutional communication, and transnational communication. She is particularly interested in exploring the backstage rhetorics of communication design (broadly defined) in transnational institutional and extrainstitutional contexts. She analyzes the influence of multiple human and non-human components on technical documentation creation (specifically, global public health) using theoretical lenses like assemblage theory, articulation, and agency, as well as qualitative research methods like interviews and focus groups.
