Join us for a reading celebrating new publications by Dr. Curtis Bauer and Dr. Jacqueline Kolosov.

Dr. Bauer will be reading from his new translations of Mother Tongue: Immersions and Other True Stories by Fabio Morábito (Penguin Random House, October 2026) and I Won't See You Die: A Novel by Antonio Muñoz Molina (Penguin Random House, November 2026)

Dr. Kolosov will be reading from her forthcoming collection of essays, Motherhood, and the Places Between (Iron Oak Press, October 2026)

Curtis Bauer is the author of thirteen books of translation from the Spanish and three original poetry collections, most recently American Selfie (Barrow Street Press, 2019), also published in Spanish translation as Selfi Americano by Vaso Roto Ediciones (2022).

Jacqueline Kolosov has published several books of fiction and poetry. Her 4th collection of poems, talons, wings, is forthcoming in January. She has coedited three anthologies of contemporary writing, among them Family Resemblance: An Anthology and Exploration of 8 Hybrid Literary Genres. She has been awarded an NEA Literature Fellowship in Prose and community engagement grants for arts programming on the Llano Estacado.
