Katie Weiss PhD Student - Linguistics

Katie Weiss is a Ph.D. candidate in Linguistics. She received her M.A. in Applied Linguistics at Texas Tech University. As she earned her M.A., her research focused on the use of pop culture in teaching English as a Second Language.  

She is currently working on her dissertation entitled, "Death in West Texas: Language Use of 911 Callers in Texas Murder Cases." She has experience teaching ESL, composition, literature, and linguistics.
