By morning and night, I'm a mom of two redheaded boys, and by day I'm a leader in higher education communications strategy. I completed Texas Tech's MATC program in 2019 and came back to begin work on my PhD in 2021. I'm highly interested in authenticity in storytelling alongside the integration of generative artificial intelligence into ethical marketing and communications practices, and target-audience-based technical communication in K-12 and higher ed. After graduation, I plan to launch a nonprofit with the mission of distributing literature to parents to help guide them in speaking with their children about gun violence and school safety.

At Trinity University, my undergraduate alma mater, I have taught first-year writing, advanced composition, mass media, and grant writing. I'm also a member of my church choir and sing with the Beethoven Damenchor in San Antonio's Southtown. And when I'm not doing any of that, I'm fishing with my family in Rockport, tending a fledgling urban vegetable garden, or cheering on any and every Brazilian soccer team.
