Financial Planning Academy

Join us for a fun-filled week of activities designed to enhance high school students’ understanding of personal finance and the financial planning profession. Students will engage with financial experts from across the country and develop valuable skills in team building, entrepreneurship, communication, and leadership.

The Financial Planning Academy, created by Texas Tech University and funded by the Charles Schwab Foundation, is a summer program for rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Participants will work in small teams on a financial planning case study, create financial plans, and compete for scholarships and prizes.  In addition to promoting financial literacy among America's youth, this camp also introduces students to the Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) industry and highlights financial planning as a rewarding career path.

This national program consists of eight partner universities, offering high school students across the country the ability to connect with industry professionals and students and faculty from leading financial planning programs. See below this year’s locations and dates, and to apply!
