Justin Lajoie, Ph.D.

Biography
Dr. Lajoies research focuses electromagnetic enhancement and control of energetics
materials and fuels with a focus on propulsion applications. His work primarily is
experimental but does include some computational work as well. He was a Mechanical
Engineer in the Combustion Science and Propulsion Research Branch at the Naval Air
Warfare Center Weapons Division. His work focuses on integrating electromagnetic control
into a range of propulsion and ignition systems, including air-breathing propulsion,
solid rocket propulsion, and advanced igniters. He has also led fuel-development efforts,
contributing to the design of solid fuels for air-breathing applications and the creation
of highly reactive metal fuel additives.
