Biography
Dr. Eliasson is the Director of the Explosives Research Program and has established an internationally recognized research effort focused on experimental mechanics and physics of energetic materials under extreme conditions. Dr. Eliasson's research integrates shock physics, high strain-rate mechanics, advanced diagnostics, and the synthesis and additive manufacturing of energetic materials. Dr. Eliassons work is motivated by applications in national security, defense, propulsion, and hypersonics, and is supported by e.g., DOE, DOD, LLNL, and NAC. Dr. Eliasson is also actively involved in explosives training and education, including instruction at the ATF National Center for Explosives Training and Research.Research Interests
