Turgut B. Baturalp (Batu), Ph.D.

Biography
Dr. Turgut B. Baturalp is a lecturer of mechanical engineering at Texas Tech University. His research focuses on biomedical engineering, robotics, space telescopes and structures, transdisciplinary research and education, and vibration. His professional research experience includes, but is not limited to, his time spent working on a NASA NIAC funded APERTURE project as well as his time spent on a project funded by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey. He has received several awards and recognitions, including the Apple Polishing Award from the Texas Tech Mortar Board along with several other awards from Texas Tech University from his time as a faculty member as well as a student. Dr. Baturalp works on concepts of bio-inspired design and engineering education along with others.
