NSSA Executive Director Receives Award at NSSA 2014 Annual Meeting

Dr. Ernst Kiesling, P.E., Executive Director of the National Storm Shelter Association (NSSA) and a faculty affiliate of NWI, received an award at the 2014 Annual Meeting of the NSSA. Dr. Kiesling was honored with the first NSSA Kiesling Annual Award which is given to an individual, company, association or entity that has made significant contributions to the storm shelter industry.

Dr. Kiesling was recognized for his role in pioneering the development of the above-ground storm shelter and in creating and advancing the NSSA. Additionally, Dr. Kiesling recently retired from 40 years of teaching and service with Texas Tech University and the National Wind Institute.

The Ernst Kiesling Award was created in 2014, and Dr. Kiesling was the first recipient. Congratulations!
