The Graduate Wind Energy Certificate offers professionals post-baccalaureate level training options in six topic areas relevant to the industry. You may choose to take individual courses or complete five of the class offerings and obtain a Graduate Certificate in Wind Energy. The program has been specifically designed for non-technical professionals who wish to assume managerial responsibilities in the wind energy industry.

Program Overview

You may choose individual courses to meet your needs or work towards obtaining the Graduate Certificate in Wind Energy. To qualify for the Graduate Certificate, you must first complete the required courses: Advanced Managerial Wind Energy I and II, or Advanced Technical Wind Energy I and II, – and then complete three elective courses. All Wind Energy courses are offered by distance.

Note: Participants who have little to no background in Wind Energy are encouraged to complete the introductory course: WE 5302 - Renewable Energy Systems and then enroll in the Graduate Certificate program.

Application Process

  • Successful completion of Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. NOTE: Undergraduate students within 12 hours of graduation and with at least a "B" average may apply for the course with permission from the Dean and from their academic advisor.

All THREE steps are required before the process can formally begin.
