Welcome to the Renewable Energy Program at Texas Tech University! 

The Renewable Energy (formerly Wind) program has a rich history of renewable energy education that has produced industry leaders and practitioners in Renewable Energy for over a decade. I am grateful to be a part of the Renewable Energy community at Texas Tech University and to have the privilege of Directing the program from September 2023 onward. 

The program will continue with its core mission of educating and preparing competent professionals who possess comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in Renewable energy while integrating them into the larger renewable energy industry network. In the coming years, we will build upon our solid foundation by actively seeking feedback from our alumni and students, leveraging the expertise of our faculty, and aligning our curriculum with the evolving needs of society. Every attempt will be made to enhance the overall experience of all our stakeholders whether they are students, faculty, or staff. Initiatives will revolve around fostering open communication, acting on constructive feedback, and cultivating a profound sense of belonging within the program. These initiatives are key to the continued success of the program and our students' success. 

Again, I want to express my gratitude for the unwavering support I have received from everyone I have interacted with here at Texas Tech. That support fuels my optimism for the new developments and growth that lie ahead.
