NWI co-hosts successful Rewarded with Wind education workshop

NWI co-hosts Rewarded with Wind wind energy workshop for community.

The National Wind Institute recently co-hosted a successful wind energy community educational workshop. Partnering with the non-profit, Wind Foundation, and its Rewarded with Wind program, the workshop focused on reaching both the campus and the off-campus audiences to spread the word of the benefits of wind energy in the West Texas region.

The speaker list was prestigious and diverse, and included Dr. Bradley Ewing, C. T. McLaughlin Chair of Free Enterprise in TTU's Energy Commerce program, Ms. Susan Sloan, Vice-President of State of Policy for the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), and Mr. David Foster, the Texas Director of Clean Water Action, a non-profit organization that focuses on environmental and community issues across the state.

NWI representatives included NWI Associate Director of Education, Dr. Andy Swift, NWI Associate Managing Director Dr. Anna Thomas Young, and NWI Professor of Practice Dr. Carsten Westergaard.

The workshop was very well attended and ran smoothly, thanks to both NWI's Dr. Anna Thomas Young and the staff at Rewarded with Wind.

Thank you to all involved.
