What are the requirements for the program?

Applicants should have a minimum of 70 hours of previous college credit, have completed their core curriculum, and be located in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

New courses typically begin every two weeks. Your advisor can enroll you in the session that works best for your schedule.

Where are classes held?

As a student in the 10K Degree Completion Program, you'll embark on a dynamic journey starting with microcredentials led by TTU faculty, offered in convenient 4-week increments that commence every two weeks. These microcredential courses, primarily conducted online, are designed to equip you with essential skills and knowledge.

To enhance your learning experience, these hybrid microcredential courses offer invaluable support and interaction through in-person class meetings two Saturdays per month. You’ll have the flexibility to choose between morning (9 AM - 12 PM) or afternoon (1 PM - 4 PM) sessions at one of our two locations:

  • Texas Tech DFW – 4201 State HWY 161, Irving, TX 75038
  • Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso – Medical Education Building, 5001 El Paso Drive, El Paso, TX 79905

After completing the microcredential courses, the remainder of your coursework seamlessly transitions to an online format, providing you with the flexibility to learn at your own pace and convenience.

What if I have less than 80 applicable credit hours?

If you have 70-79 applicable credit hours, you can still enroll in the 10K Degree Completion Program. Achieving the degree for $10,000 or less may not be feasible, however with up to 21 hours of free microcredentials and credit for prior learning, qualified students may still be able to earn their degree for less than $15,000. If you have fewer than 70 applicable credit hours our advisors are available to assist you in discovering the most suitable program aligned with your goals.

What is the maximum number of credits I can transfer?

The maximum number of credits allowed for transfer into the program is 90 credit hours, however students with more than 90 credit hours can still enroll in the program if they have not yet earned a degree.
