Strategy to Support 2 LMS Platforms

Once Canvas is fully integrated with Banner (est. October 2024), we will provide instructions for accessing Canvas and requesting development shells to begin building courses in Canvas. Please note that development shell requests will be limited to one per person.

A select group of early adopters will teach courses in Canvas during the Spring 2025 semester. These courses will not be migrated from Blackboard but built in Canvas.  
 
All faculty will be encouraged to utilize Canvas for course delivery in Summer 2025. 
 
As courses begin to transition to Canvas in 2025, both Blackboard and Canvas will contain active courses. This will result in many students accessing courses in both platforms. Instructors will need to provide clear access instructions in all course materials and communications. 
 
ALL FALL 2025 COURSES MUST BE DELIVERED FROM CANVAS.
