Explore Microcredential OptionsChoose Your Own Concentration or Specialization in Applied Arts and Sciences Degree
B.A.A.S. students must choose either an Occupational Specialization, up to 36 hours, or between two 18-hour Professional Development Concentrations.
The Occupational Specialization typically consists of field-specific coursework completed for an A.A.S. degree at a community college. Active-duty military or veterans might receive credit for technical or other formal training courses under this component of the degree plan.
The Professional Development option consists of two separate concentrations that serve to enhance the skills acquired by the student through an applied associates degree or are complimentary themes of interest. This option requires completion of 36 hours in two separate concentrations of 18 hours each.
