Author Bio: 

Sean P. Cunningham is Associate Professor and Chair of History. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Florida and teaches broadly in twentieth-century U.S. history, specializing in post-1945 American political culture, with a geographic emphasis in Texas and the Sunbelt. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for both the Texas State Historical Association and Humanities Texas, which is the state's affiliate to the National Endowment for the Humanities.
