5/19/2021: In light of the announcement from the TTU President, effective 5/19/21, the Clinic's policies and procedures related to COVID-19 have been updated to reflect the policies of TTU. Masks are now optional for those entering the Clinic. For those who have not been vaccinated, face coverings are still highly recommended to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

4/26/2021: We will be offering primarily in-person services by Fall 2021. Masks continue to be required in the Department of Psychological Sciences and within the Psychology Clinic. We remain on a waitlist for all services (adult, children, couples, testing). Prospective clients are welcome to call to be added to the list, and we will be in touch as soon as possible. We can provide non-crisis referrals to callers, if needed.

1/21/2021: We are currently on a waitlist for all services (adult, children, couples, testing). Prospective clients are welcome to call to be added to the list, and we will be in touch as soon as possible. We can provide non-crisis referrals to callers, if needed.

8/3/2020: The Psychology Clinic will resume in-person services on Monday, August 24. We will continue to offer telepsychology services as well for the foreseeable future. Prior to receiving in-person services, an Informed Consent for In-Person Psychological Services During COVID-19 Public Health Crisis must be on file with our office. Your current therapist will provide you with the form, so you can return the form prior to your arrival. The complete Clinic Plan for Return to In-Person Services can be found here. We request you review this plan prior to your visit to ensure you are aware of the updated policies and procedures. Please note, masks are required in the Department of Psychological Sciences and within the Psychology Clinic. Questions about the re-opening can be directed to the Clinic office.

The Psychology Clinic is a training and research center that provides psychotherapy and assessment services to the University, Lubbock and neighboring communities. The clinic is housed in and operated by the Department of Psychological Sciences and is the primary training facility for graduate students in the Counseling and Clinical Psychology Ph.D. programs at Texas Tech University. The clinic is staffed by advanced doctoral students under the supervision of Ph.D. psychologists who are faculty members in the Clinical and Counseling Psychology programs. Both of these programs are accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA Office of Program Consultation and Accreditation, 750 First Street, NE, Washington, DC 20002-4242; 202-336-5979). The Psychology Clinic strives to offer high quality and cost efficient services to our clients. We value and respect the multiple identities and communities with whom we work. Services are confidential and personalized to meet the particular need of each client. The director of the clinic is Dr. Megan Thoen, who is a licensed psychologist and Texas Tech alum.
