Money Mentors are Red Raiders who help their peers navigate real-life financial decisions. As a Money Mentor with Red to Black®, you will promote financial literacy, advocate for financial well-being, and share practical knowledge that helps students thrive now and after graduation.

What Is a Money Mentor?

Money Mentors serve as peer advocates for financial literacy across campus. They help: 

• Raise awareness about smart money habits 
• Support Red to Black® outreach efforts 
• Encourage students to use financial coaching and resources 
• Represent financial well-being initiatives within their college 

You do not need to be a personal finance major. You need curiosity, commitment, and a desire to help others grow. 

What You’ll Gain 

Being a Money Mentor helps you build: 

• Leadership and communication skills 
• Confidence speaking about financial topics 
• Peer education and outreach experience 
• Resume-building campus involvement 
• A deeper understanding of personal finance 

You will also participate in monthly continuing education sessions to strengthen your knowledge and impact. 

Qualifications & Commitment 

We are looking for students who: 

• Have a minimum 3.0 GPA 
• Represent any major 
• Demonstrate interest in peer education and leadership 
• Commit to two semesters 
• Complete at least 12 volunteer hours per semester 
• Attend monthly training sessions 

Money Mentors serve as volunteers and campus leaders who model financial responsibility and engagement.
