Q: Have I missed the application deadline for the 2021-2022 scholarship applications?
A: Scholarship applications for 2021-2022 open on Monday, March 1st and have a deadline of Friday, April 2nd. All required documents must be submitted by the April 2nd deadline. Scholarships are awarded in May.
Q: Can I physically mail scholarship applications to the SDS office?
A: There are several ways that applications can be sent to SDS. Scholarship applications can be sent in person to 130 Weeks Hall, via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or mailed to Student Disability Services at 2508 15th St. - Weeks Hall, Lubbock, TX 79409. Make sure your scholarship is completed when it is sent to us.
Q: How do I know if my recommendation letters have been received?
A: Follow up with your instructor or other requested references, or feel free to email us at email@example.com.
Q: Can I submit my application without the recommendation letter?
A: Letters of Recommendation from faculty and other individuals can be sent into our firstname.lastname@example.org email separately, but your application will not be processed until all required documentation is received. The application must be complete before it is considered for any scholarships.
Q: Can I apply for scholarships if I have not yet had my initial intake?
A: Students may apply for any scholarship for which they meet eligibility only once they have been approved for services and completed their registered with the SDS office. Contact your SDS Counselor if you plan to apply for scholarships and need to schedule an intake meeting.
