AFC® Registered Education Program

Current Texas Tech students, once you have completed:

Undergraduate Students:

  • PFI 2301: Personal Financial Literacy OR PFI 3301: Introduction to Personal Finance
  • PFI 3320: Consumer Financial Credit
  • PFI 3322: Consumer Financial Counseling
    • If you have taken PFI 3321: Financial Counseling and Consumer Credit, you do NOT have to take PFI 3320 or PFI 3322 to meet the AFC® education requirement.

Graduate Students:

  • PFP 5322: Introduction to Applied Personal Finance
  • PFP 5377: Client Communication & Counseling

OR

  • PFP 5371: Fundamentals of Personal Financial Planning
  • PFP 5377: Client Communication & Counseling
  • PFP 5362: Fundamentals of Asset Management
  • PFP 5394: Retirement Planning
  • PFP 5398: Estate Planning

You will have met the educational requirements to sit for the AFC® exam. To register for the exam, visit the AFCPE® website.
