Preparing tomorrow's media leaders

Preparing tomorrow’s media leaders, the College of Mass Communications at Texas Tech offers state-of-the-art instruction and facilities for programs at the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral-degree levels.

This unique combination of professional, practical and academic coursework and experience integrates today’s media convergence and the future’s media developments in five critical areas of mass communications: advertising, electronic media, journalism, photocommunications and public relations.

Becoming a separate department in 1970, a separate school in 1987 and an independent college within the university in 2004, the Texas Tech mass communications program is widely recognized for its excellence among media organizations. Faculty and staff are committed to standards of excellence and inspire the same among students.
