Angela Walla, Ph.D.

Dr. Angela Walla is a Professor at Texas Tech University in the Department of Animal and Food Sciences. As a trained microbiologist and food scientist, her research focuses on developing intervention strategies to control and prevent foodborne pathogens from entering the food supply. Her research focuses on fruits and vegetables, post-harvest handling, supply chain, grocers, and food manufacturing of FDA-regulated products. Outside of research, she helps food companies navigate food safety regulations and provides food safety education workshops and courses.
