Aria Ghabussi

Research Interests

Mr. Ghabussi received a Master of Science in structural engineering from the Azad University of Tehran in 2018 and currently pursuing a Ph.D. in structural engineering at Texas Tech University. Mr. Ghabussi's research related to using structural analysis and performance-based design to improve materials and design methods for seismic-resistant structures. He has done several extensive research on smart and nano-structures, novel steel damping systems, novel steel-concrete composite structures and Friction stir welding process, and the formability of steel sheets. His research is currently focused on improving the seismic performance of braced frames by using passive damping systems and novel composite materials.
