The main purpose of The Spanish Club at Texas Tech University is to intentionally build a community in Lubbock that is committed to breaking barriers by preserving the Spanish language. The Spanish Club seeks to create public spaces and promote awareness of the diverse cultures that make up Spanish through speaking, hearing, and teaching the language. The Spanish Club shall advance academic Spanish as a valuable tool for future academic, career, and cultural opportunities and shall publicize the formal study of the Spanish language. The Spanish Club shall encourage students to consider majoring or minoring in Spanish at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as inspiring attention and conversation on the Spanish language.
