Jessica Smith

Dr. Jessica Smith is Assistant Professor of Practice at Texas Tech University. She is the author of Lady Smith (University of Akron Press, 2024). Her next book project explores representations of intimate partner violence in American popular culture. She is affiliated faculty in the Texas Tech Women's and Gender Studies Program and sits on the directory board of Sexism/Cinema. She received her MFA from The New School and is the recipient of support from The Sewanee Writers' Conference and The Vermont Studio Center.
