Undergraduate Certificate in User Experience

 

 

User experience (UX) design is a growing interdisciplinary field across psychology, industrial engineering, computer science, and other technology sectors. As per the 2021 CNN Money Best 100 Jobs in America rankings, the high industry demands for UX designers is expected to grow by 19% between 2017-2027. 

Our four-course undergraduate UX Certificate allows students to learn the hands-on fundamentals of UX research, design, and writing methodologies. This certificate will help any design, technology, content management, or digital communication student to stand out in 21st century hiring markets. Enrollees will be able to hone their skills in our state-of-the-art User Experience Research lab.

Four required courses

    • ENGL 3367 User Experience Research
    • ENGL 3369 Information Design
    • ENGL 4367 Designing Instructional Materials
    • ENGL 4369 Interaction Design

The UX certificate can be completed in one academic year since all four courses are offered in a regular rotation (two each semester).

Requirements

Student must receive a "B" or better in all courses taken toward the certificate.
