David takes an interdisciplinary approach that engages multiple fields rather than just focusing heavily on one particular field of study. David teaches first-year writing courses in rhetoric as well as general studies courses that help first-semester freshmen transition to college courses at colleges such as UCSD, SDSU, and CSUSM. As a queer student and scholar, he advocates for an inclusive classroom that welcomes and values ideas from all students.
