Students will explore different types of AI (e.g., generative, predictive analytics) and analyze their potential to transform teaching, learning and school operations. The course will also introduce frameworks for evaluating AI tools and considering their pedagogical implications.

This course provides hands-on experience using AI as a partner in instructional design and delivery. Students will learn to leverage AI tools for lesson planning, creating engaging learning materials, developing project-based learning activities and automating routine administrative tasks. Emphasis will be placed on prompt engineering for educators and adapting AI-generated content to meet specific curriculum standards and student needs.

This course examines critical ethical dimensions of AI in education, including data privacy, academic integrity, transparency and professional responsibility. Through readings, discussions and case-based reflection, students analyze how educators and leaders can make sound decisions about AI use across learning contexts and develop practical recommendations for responsible implementation in their own professional settings.

This culminating course addresses the critical ethical dimensions of AI in education, including data privacy, algorithmic bias, academic integrity and digital equity. Participants will analyze case studies and develop school or district-level policy recommendations. For their capstone project, students will design an AI integration plan or a professional development program to be implemented in their own professional context, serving as a portfolio piece demonstrating their expertise.
