Maricela Ramirez

Senior Research Compliance Specialist, HRPP

Maricela Ramirez serves as Senior Research Compliance Specialist in the Office of Human Research Protection Program. In this role she is responsible for renewals and closures of IRBs. Maricela assists with post approval monitoring on approved IRBs. She provides support to TTU researchers and the IRB members in promoting the conduct of ethical human research.

Prior to joining the Office of the Vice President for Research, Maricela worked in state government. She retired from the Office of the Attorney General Child Support Division after 30 years of service where her positions included child support officer, supervisor, manager and case analyst. She graduated from Texas Tech University in 1983 with a B.A. in Economics.
