HRPP Team

HRPP supports the institution in promoting ethical conduct of human research and educates Texas Tech faculty, staff, and students regarding compliance and ethics. HRPP maintains all IRB records including meeting agendas and minutes, policies, regulations, reference materials, and IRB protocols. HRPP provides research support through IRB development, web-based IRB submission, reliance agreements, and post approval monitoring.

Participants, researchers, IRB members, and others who have human research related complaints, concerns, recommendations, or reports of suspected violations are encouraged to contact Dr. CassiDe Street, Section Manager of Human Research Protection Program. All inquiries are taken seriously and will be directed to the appropriate personnel.

HRPP staff are here to answer your questions. Walk-ins and individual appointments are available throughout the week. To schedule an individual appointment, please contact the HRPP staff.

Research Compliance Manager, HRPP

CassiDe Street serves as the section manager for the Human Research Protection Program. She serves as the direct liaison to the IRB chair and associate chair. CassiDe assists Texas Tech University researchers with constructing and submitting IRBs to gain approval to conduct human subjects research. In this role she is responsible for renewals and closures of IRBs. Maricela assists with post approval monitoring on approved IRBs. She provides support to TTU researchers and the IRB members in promoting the conduct of ethical human research. Read more >> 

Deanine Riemath, M.A.

Research Compliance Specialist I, HRPP

Deanine Riemath assists researchers with the IRB development, serves as the analyst on pre and post reviews, matches sponsor projects to IRB protocols, and promotes ethical human subject research.  

Prior to joining the HRPP team, Deanine worked with the local community as a Compliance Officer/Mental Health liaison.  Deanine received her undergrad in Psychology and is currently working on completing a second master's at Texas Tech.  Her area of research interest is PTSD in veterans and new therapy outcomes with interdisciplinary approach.  As a native to the area, she has always had a love for the University and all the traditions.  She is excited to join the University and raise her son in the same traditions.
