Dr. Qingwang (Kevin) Yuan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Petroleum Engineering at Texas Tech University. Before joining Texas Tech University in 2020, he worked as a Postdoc at Stanford University and University of Regina. He received his PhD degree from the University of Calgary.

He established The Hope Group at TTU focusing on in-situ HydrOgen production from PEtroleum reservoirs (carbon-zero), natural HydrOgen Production from the Earth's subsurface (carbon-free), stimulated subsurface hydrogen production with CO2 sequestration (carbon-negative), CO2 and H2 geologic storage, and geothermal recovery. He is interested in collaborating on multidisciplinary research in clean energy and the environment. His group website is www.TheHopeGroup.Tech.
