Job Description

As a Transfer Ambassador you will:

• Be a positive representative of Texas Tech University
• Help new transfer students transition successfully to life at Texas Tech
• Provide support to students by answering questions about the social and academic aspects of Texas Tech
• Teach new students Texas Tech history & traditions
• Act as a Peer Mentor to students 
• Develop and implement programming that helps transfer students engage in the Texas Tech community

The ideal Transfer Ambassador possesses:

• Pride in and enthusiasm for Texas Tech
• Sensitivity to the unique needs of transfer students
• Strong interpersonal skills and outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
• Positive attitude, energy, and desire to help others
• Ability to work as both a motivated self-starter and as a cooperative team player
• Sense of humor and an ability to be flexible
• Genuine concern for others and desire to help fellow students and team members
