Why is there an Ambassador Retreat in the spring? Do I have to attend?
Yes. Every member of Transfer Ambassadors must attend the trainings and meetings that will take place over the spring semester. You must make plans to be available during the entire weekend of the retreat.
Do I have to attend all of the trainings?
Yes. Every member of Transfer Ambassadors must attend the trainings that will take place over the spring semester. Can I have another job and be a Transfer Ambassador?
Federal work guidelines prohibit students from working more than 20 hours on campus. While Transfer Ambassadors are paid for spring training and fall events, their pay is disbursed as a stipend over the summer months. Therefore, it is possible to have another on-campus job during the spring and fall semesters, but not over the summer. Having another job does not excuse you from attending and participating in all required Transfer Ambassador functions.
You can have another off campus job at any time. However, it is expected that you prioritize your employment with Transfer Ambassadors over other job responsibilities or extracurricular activities. Please make sure you have the time to commit to this job prior to applying.
