Fredericksburg (Hill Country)
Focused on enology and viticulture, this site offers in-person certificate courses that capitalize on the region's rich wine industry. Students can expect hands-on experiences and close ties to local businesses.
Programs
Waco
Known for its partnership with McLennan Community College, Waco supports higher education access by working closely with local schools and students. Students can explore a variety of pathways to earning a degree through Texas Tech.
Carey Hobbs Endowment Scholarship
Carey Hobbs, a Texas Tech University alumnus, former regent of the Texas Tech University System and former member of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, has devoted much of his life to supporting Texas Tech and promoting higher education. To expand access to higher education in Waco, Hobbs has established a scholarship for students attending the Texas Tech University classes in Waco.
Requirements
- A displayed financial need
- GPA greater than 2.0
- Must attend classes in Waco
Deadline
Applications are open until all funds are awarded for the upcoming/current fall semester.
Highland Lakes (Marble Falls)
The Highland Lakes site supports students enrolled in any Texas Tech online program and works closely with Central Texas College and local school districts to streamline credit transfers and expand access to higher education. In addition to academic support, the site offers in-person workforce development opportunities and career-focused short courses.

El Paso
El Paso serves as a hub for online learners and military-affiliated students, offering pathways to degree completion and career advancement. The site partners closely with El Paso Community College to support transfer students and provides access to online degree programs and an on-site architecture program.
