| Welcome to the Department of Chemical Engineering at Texas Tech University. We provide broad-based programs resulting in B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees. The undergraduate chemical engineering program at Texas Tech prepares students for an exciting and challenging profession in chemical engineering that combines the principles of the physical and chemical sciences with the discipline of engineering to solve modern problems and serve society. The chemical engineer participates in the continual development of new processes and products that form the basis of the global economy.
The Department of Chemical Engineering at Texas Tech University has a nationally recognized research-intensive department with strengths in Bioengineering; Energy and Sustainability; Polymers and Materials; and Simulation/Modeling in Chemical Engineering. Our laboratory facilities support innovative experimental programs and our computational resources are exploited for state-of-the art modeling and simulation activities. Graduate students and post-doctoral researchers, as well as motivated undergraduates, are involved in state-of-the-art research with the faculty.
