The Scott and Stephanie Asher Plant and Soil Science Scholarship Endowment was established by Scott and Stephanie Asher in 2022. This scholarship is awarded to either graduate students with a crop science focus with priority to weed science, or undergraduate students with priority to those studying crop science with an agronomy focus.

Scott and Stephanie are both from farming families and have a passion for agriculture. They met while attending Texas Tech University where Scott earned a M.S and Ph.D. in Crop Science and Stephanie earned a B.S in Human Development. Prior to attending Texas Tech, Scott earned a B.S. in Agronomy from Texas A&M University. They are supporters of Texas Tech Athletics and are proud to support students in the Plant & Soil Science Department.
