Welcome to the Department of Chemical Engineering at Texas Tech University. We provide broad-based programs resulting in B.S., M.S.,
and Ph.D. degrees. The undergraduate chemical engineering program at Texas Tech prepares students for a profession in chemical engineering
an exciting and challenging profession that combines the principles of the physical and chemical sciences with the discipline of engineering
to solve modern technological problems and to be of effective service to society. The chemical engineer participates in the continual
development of new processes and new products that form the basis of much of the manufacturing segment of the global economy.
The Department of Chemical Engineering at Texas Tech University has embarked on building a nationally recognized research-intensive department
with strengths in Bioengineering; Polymers, Materials, and Rheology; Computational Methods in Chemical Engineering; and Process Control and Optimization.
Our laboratory facilities support innovative experimental programs and our computational resources are exploited for state-of-the art modeling
activities. Chemical engineering at Texas Tech has a long history of healthy interactions with industry and both the undergraduate and graduate
programs benefit from these programs
