IT Major/Essential Functions

Provide research, planning, development, testing, installation, integration, configuration, and maintenance support for University Student Housing staff and students.

Occasional Duties

Assist with other areas of Client Relations (Welcome Center, Communications & Marketing) when IT tasks cause wait times that cannot be filled with other IT tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

Good communication skills. Proficiency with basic computer skills. Troubleshooting IT workstation issues. Some experience with HTML, PHP, or other programming languages.

More proficient at efficiency than creativity, but both are good.

Experience maintaining project management, knowledge base, and online software manual information using content management systems and/or wikis.

Experience identifying, resolving, and documenting issues as they arise.

Minimum Qualifications

A student enrolled in at least 6 hours.

This is Security Sensitive Level II Position: Applications for this position will be subject to a police records check and may be required to be fingerprinted. Applicants will be subject to drug and alcohol testing after a conditional offer of employment has been extended but before employment can be confirmed. The offer of employment is contingent upon the candidate passing the drug and alcohol test. Employees in Level II positions are subject to a post-accident drug and alcohol testing.
