Ashley Arrington is the Head of Instruction and an Associate Librarian of Law at Texas Tech University School of Law. In this role, she oversees and teaches in the Law Library's instructional programs, including first-year Legal Practice research workshops and the ‘Excellence in Legal Research' Program. Additionally, she teaches Advanced Legal Research, Introduction to the Study of Law, and Texas Legal Research; and serves as a draft instructor for Academic Legal Writing.

Professor Arrington holds a B.B.A. from the University of Texas at Arlington College of Business, a J.D. from Texas A&M University School of Law, an LL.M. from Northeastern University School of Law, and an M.L.I.S. with a certificate in law librarianship from the University of Washington Information School. While at UW, she was awarded the inaugural Penny Hazelton Endowed Fund for Law Librarianship. In 2020, she earned a certificate in higher education teaching from Harvard University's Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning.

Following law school, Professor Arrington worked in higher education, first as a research attorney for Arcadia University and later a grants & contracts officer for Harvard University. She began her academic career at the University of Houston Law Center, where she taught legal research and bar preparation. Her research interests include higher and legal education, research and skills-based instruction, and health law and policy. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
