Sue has extensive library experience. She began working in law libraries as a student employee at the University of Arkansas Young Law Library while completing her undergraduate degree. She continued working there full-time until completing her MLIS degree at the University of Oklahoma. Sue then began working as the Head of Technical Services in the public library at Fort Dodge, IA where she remained for two years until the call of law library work lured her back to the University of Arkansas Young Law Library as the Government Documents/Catalog Librarian where she remained until becoming the Head of Technical Services at the Barry University Law Library in Orlando, FL in 2002.

Sue is active in law library professional associations at the regional and national level. She is currently an active member of the Southwestern Association of Law Libraries (SWALL) and the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL). Over the years Sue has also been a member of the Mid-America Association of Law Libraries (MAALL) as well as the South Eastern Association of Law Libraries (SEAALL) and has chaired and served on numerous committees and special interest sections in associations at all levels.

Currently, Sue is the Assistant Director for Collection Services at the Texas Tech University Law Library. She coordinates the activities for Acquisitions, Cataloging, Government Documents and Serials. She also works at the Reference Desk and teaches in the Certificate of Excellence in Legal Research program and various topics in the Advanced Legal Research and Texas Legal Research courses.
