Convocations Committee
Charge:
The Convocations Committee is responsible for planning the all-university commencement exercises. The committee shall counsel with the provost regarding the selection of commencement speakers. The co-chairperson is appointed each year and will serve as marshal and chairperson the next year.
Appointment:
Appointments will be made by the provost from nominations received through standard procedures. Terms will be three years for faculty, one year for students.
Operating Procedures:
The committee will develop its own operating procedures subject to approval by the provost. Copies of any minutes or reports are to be provided to the officer to whom the committee reports, to the Faculty Senate, the Staff Senate, and to the University Library. The chairperson may be invited to visit the Faculty Senate to inform the Senate of the activities of the committee during the year.

The co-chairperson will be appointed annually by the provost.
