Amy Boren-Alpizar, Ph.D.
Dr. Amy Boren-Alpizar is an associate professor in the department of Agricultural Education and Communications and a rural community development specialist in the International Center for Food Industry Excellence (ICFIE) at Texas Tech University. Her research agenda focuses on the contributions of rural youth and women to community development in Latin America.
Dr. Boren-Alpizar has worked extensively in leadership development across Latin America. She holds a B.A. in French and Spanish from Nebraska Wesleyan University, a M.S. in Leadership Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and a Ph.D. in Human Sciences from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
