Undergraduate Student Teaching

The teacher certification program culminates with student teaching. This semester-long experience consists of a four-week intensive block of courses on campus followed by a twelve-week field experience as a teaching intern. Both challenging and rewarding, the student teaching semester provides an opportunity for teacher candidates to apply knowledge from their course of study. In part, student teaching helps fulfill the requirements for teacher certification in Texas.
