Agricultural Communications students communicate and advocate for the agricultural
industry. Students develop and fine-tune written, verbal, visual, photography, and
technological skills with this major. Within the Agricultural Communications major,
students take 40 hours of agricultural communications courses and 6 hours of communications
elective in a supporting area (electronic media, print media, public relations and
marketing) in addition to a news writing course. All students are required to complete
an internship to provide them with a valuable experiential learning opportunity.
