Classical and Modern Languages and Literatures

Languages and Cultures, B.A. / Languages and Cultures, M.A.
Exceptional undergraduate Languages & Cultures (concentrations Classics, French, & German) majors who wish to complete an ABM degree in a timely manner may apply for admission into the Languages & Cultures (Classics or German), B.A. to Languages & Cultures, M.A. program or to the Languages & Cultures (French), B.A. to the Romance Languages (French), M.A. program. Admission to this program allows students to count 9 dual hours of undergraduate coursework towards the master’s degree. The application should be made during the first semester of the junior year following procedures available from the graduate program coordinator in the department.

Exceptional undergraduate Spanish majors who wish to complete an ABM degree in a timely manner may apply for admission into the Spanish, B.A. and Romance Languages, M.A. program. Admission to this program allows students to count 9 dual hours of undergraduate coursework towards the master’s degree. The application should be made during the first semester of the junior year following procedures available from the graduate program coordinator in the department.

Kinesiology and Sport Management

Kinesiology, B.S. / Kinesiology, M.S.
This accelerated bachelor’s to master’s program in Kinesiology allows highly qualified (3.0 GPA on last 60 hours) seniors with a minimum of 90 credit hours earned to be admitted into the master’s degree in Kinesiology and complete six credit hours that will count in earning a bachelor’s degree and earning six hours of the credit hours for a master’s degree. These six credits may be chosen from any of the 5000-level scheduled courses in consultation with a master’s degree adviser.

This accelerated bachelor’s to master’s program in Sport Management allows qualified (3.0 GPA on last 60 hours) seniors with a minimum of 90 credit hours earned to be admitted into the master’s degree in Sport Management and complete six credit hours that will count in earning a bachelor’s degree andearning six hours of the credit hours for a master’s degree. These six credits may be chosen from any of the 5000-level scheduled courses in consultation with a master’s degree adviser.

Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work

Sociology, B.A. / Sociology, M.A.
This competitive accelerated program is designed for upper-division sociology majors to begin graduate classes during their senior undergraduate year so that they can finish with a master’s degree in sociology with one additional year of graduate study instead of the normal two years. This program is particularly well-suited for students who wish to enter governmental, non-profit, or industry work. The program follows the same requirements as the Sociology, M.A., though nine hours of graduate credit may be counted as undergraduate credit, at the discretion of the graduate director.
