The HUD-funded CECREH Inaugural Summit brought together partners from universities,
agencies, and community organizations to advance resilient, equitable housing systems.
Doctoral researchers Amin Sobhani and Nadar Shah participated in a summer internship
that advanced community-led oversight of housing programs and collaborated with advocacy
partners to support improvements in disaster recovery.
Dr. Ali Nejat spoke at the 7th GADRI Summit in Colorado, emphasizing CECREH's transdisciplinary
work and exploring future international collaborations on disaster resilience.
CECREH faculty and PhD students participated in the 50th Annual Natural Hazards Workshop
hosted by the University of Colorado Boulder. Dr. Rodrigo Costa chaired the national
Researchers Meeting, and Dr. Sara Hamideh presented in a session on building community
resilience.
Dr. Ross presented her research on emergency risk communication at the 2025 Public
Management Research Conference in Seoul, highlighting key challenges in reaching households
with disaster information.

CECREH is seeking a postdoctoral researcher with expertise in hazard mapping, exposure
modeling, and community resilience. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
