Welcome to the CMLL Classics Program

Whether you have been studying Classics all your life or are coming to it for the first time, and whatever your interests, there is a place for you here.

As the original interdisciplinary discipline, Classics offers you the opportunity to study a wide range of subjects, including the languages of the ancient Greeks and Romans, their literature, institutions, events, and ideas, their economies, landscapes, and material culture, the peoples and animals that inhabited these societies, the wider ancient Mediterranean world, and even the reception and influence of the Classics in later periods. Studying Classics is also excellent preparation for many careers. Classics students are consistently among the top scoring students on standardized tests like the LSAT, MCAT, and GRE; they also have relatively high acceptance rates to graduate programs and some of the highest success rates in graduate school. Students of Classics are highly regarded in the business and tech worlds as well.
