The Multicultural Student Resource Center (MSRC) is a collection of books, journals and other scholarly publications that are available for students to checkout. These materials were hand-picked to reflect the different cultural, racial, and social identities of Texas Tech’s student body. The Resource Center features many genres that are pertinent to history and individual culture, as well as those that maintain literary significance across the globe. Please come by our offices to check out our growing collection of materials.

Who can use the MSRC?

Texas Tech University Students, Faculty, and Staff.

What are Resource Center Hours?

Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 5 p.m.

How can I borrow and renew materials?

Materials available for checkout are located inside the glass cabinets in Doak Hall, Room 101C. Any Cross-Cultural Staff Member or Student Assistant will be able to assist you in checking out materials. Our offices located in Room 105 & 114A. Please have your Student ID handy!

How many items can I check out at once?

Students may check out up to 2 resources at a time.

How do I return materials?

All materials must be returned by 5:00 p.m. on its due date.

How long is the checkout period?

The checkout period is two weeks.

What if an item I need is checked out to someone else?

If you request an item that is already checked out by another patron, your name will be added to our waitlist, and a staff member will notify you when the item is back in office.

What can I do if the MSRC does not have the materials I need?
