Dr. Divya Janardhan is Assistant Professor of Arts Administration, Management, and Advocacy and the Area Head of Arts Administration at the Talkington College of Visual and Performing Arts. Her research lies at the intersection of arts management practices, cultural policy, and cultural equity within the arts and cultural sector, and their interaction with cultural funding within the larger urban system.

Dr. Janardhan's academic accomplishments and honors include research publications on the performing arts in elite journals; research accolades conferred by The International Association of Arts and Cultural Management (AIMAC); the Social Theory, Politics, and the Arts (STP&A) conference; and the Association for Cultural Economics International (ACEI); being an invited speaker on museum management and leadership at Lalit Kala Akademi – India's National Academy for the Visual Arts; and being part of the 2023 global inaugural cohort of the Association of Arts Administration Educators' (AAAE) prestigious NEA grant-funded Mentorship Program. Dr. Janardhan has been an invited speaker, peer reviewer, and discussant at multiple conferences in the arts administration and cultural policy fields, and an invited reviewer of AAAE's cultural policy graduate curriculum standards. Dr. Janardhan serves on the editorial board of the American Journal of Arts Management and the STP&A board of directors.

Dr. Janardhan brings prior experience in consulting for the nonprofit arts and cultural sector; marketing and branding experience from the advertising industry; besides academic experience in teaching, arts management case creation, and research advising. She is a trained classical performing arts vocalist in the Carnatic musical tradition and has acquired visual arts training under Balan Nambiar – one of India's leading contemporary artists and research scholars. Dr. Janardhan was awarded a Ph.D. in Cultural Policy and Arts Management and acquired an additional minor in Public Policy and Management from the Ohio State University, besides additional academic qualifications in the domain areas of Arts Administration, Advertising and Marketing, and Media and Communications.
