The Communication Advisory Committee reconsidered additional requests from faculty
members that core curriculum courses be eligible for inclusion in a program's CL plan.
The Communication Advisory Committee approves core curriculum courses for inclusion,
so long as any program using a core course in its CL plan includes three additional
CL courses beyond the core course in that plan. As a reminder, there is no requirement
that CL courses be a minimum of three credit hours. Please direct any questions about
this recommendation to Dr. Kathleen Gillis, chairperson of the Communication Advisory Committee.
Dec. 8, 2016
Programs should be sure to write out all acronyms the first time they are used in
a program's CL plan, as the CL plan reviewers may not be familiar with all acronyms.
